Congratulations to our educators, Jared Stiles and Hannah Fink-Flesburg!

We are excited to share they have officially published their Open Educational Resource (OER) textbook: Foundations of Radiation Safety & Radiobiology.

This resource is free, openly accessible, and available to the public, providing students, educators, and professionals with a high-quality learning resource without the financial burden of a traditional textbook.
By adopting this OER into the Intro to Rad Safety and Radiobiology course this fall, we will save our students approximately $6,000 annually in textbook costs.

This project reflects their commitment to increasing educational accessibility, reducing barriers to student success, and providing up-to-date, relevant content. We are so proud of them for providing a resource that supports both our learners and the broader educational community.

So sad to share the passing of Mike Hoenig. If you have been through any of the RadSci programs in the past 13+ years you had the honor to learn from Mike (and his colleagues) during Patient Care class in our Patient Interactions unit. His wit, willingness to share personal experiences, kindness, and passion to teach future health care workers to become outstanding care givers will not be forgotten. Even after retirement he continued to present to our Radiation Sciences students.

It was an absolute priviledge to know you. Rest easy.

Celebrate the life of Michael Hoenig, leave a kind word or memory and get funeral service information care of Weerts Funeral Home.
