We are a nonprofit organization that relies on volunteerism, fundraising, and memorials.

Sunset House offers an alternative living arrangement for two persons who are in the final stages of a terminal illness and cannot be cared for in their own home.

A Huge Thank You to Some Very Special Supporters! 💙

The Hospice Regatta may have been a few weeks ago, but we’re still thinking about—and feeling incredibly grateful for—everyone who helped make the event such a success.

We’re not sure everyone knows this, but Peter Mendick, Sandy Simpson, and Kirk Simpson went above and beyond their generous financial support. They also donated all of the bourbon for our bourbon tasting!

Their generosity and willingness to step up and help made such a difference. It’s support like this that makes the Hospice Regatta possible and helps us continue the mission of Sunset House Hospice.

Sunset House operates solely through the generosity of our community, and every donation makes a difference. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who supported the Regatta and helped make this year's event such a success.

We held our Volunteer/Staff Picnic last Saturday, August 1st. The Sunset House is so lucky to be surrounded by such incredible people!

The Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce’s Grapes & Gratitude event on July 21st was a resounding success, drawing an excellent turnout for an evening of networking and wine. Guests connected with eight featured local non‑profit Chamber members — including The Sunset House — to learn more about each organization’s mission and impact.

Our director, Andrea Calloway and board president, Dawn Shumway were in attendance, helping welcome attendees and highlight the importance of community partnerships.
