Baby it’s…. warm outside!

We celebrated Christmas in July today with cupcakes from Cody Bland (St Mary’s Home Health), fresh baked cookies, hot cocoa (with toppings!), played some reindeer games, and watched Christmas with the Kranks! 😎☀️🎅🏻🎄🍪

Yesterday, we had two different ends of the spectrum for activities! But, we had fun the whole time!

First, Lee Dean Sings came to spend time with us for Vacation Bible School for Seniors! We sang songs we all knew and even had some dances to go with them! We had craft time where we made Mr. Potato Heads to get ready for our devotion: Being a Potato Head for God! 🥔✝️ then we played some Bible trivia! His lesson went like this:

We discussed 4 great qualities of potatoes and how we need to be more like potatoes!

1) Potatoes are cooperative with their chef!
---However the chef wants to use the potato the potato cooperates!

2) Potatoes are compatible with the main dish!
---Potatoes are not the star of the meal, they are to be compatible with the main entree!

3) Potatoes can grow in any climate!
---Potatoes have proven they can grow anywhere and do not require perfect conditions!

4) Potatoes are called for all over the world!
---The world needs potatoes as it is 1 of the top 3 crops in the world. And the world needs light & love from Christians!

Lee paralleled those four great qualities of potatoes to how Christians should strive to emulate them in their own daily walks and be more like potatoes!

After that, we danced for a while to some old 60s and 70s music before turning some spooky tunes on to celebrate some Summerween with Community Hospice! Thank you to Tay, Jalynn, Alicia, Chad, and David for making ice cream floats for the residents and staff! Everyone always enjoys when they come to hang out with us!! 🎃🍨💙👻
