SB 729 expanded fertility and infertility coverage for qualifying plans beginning in 2026.
It includes coverage for fertility services and IVF under qualifying large-group plans.
The law also addresses fertility services involving third parties, including gestational carriers.
But…
“Does this mean my entire surrogacy journey is covered?”
No.
SB 729 does not automatically mean your agency fees, legal fees, surrogate compensation and every other surrogacy expense are covered.
Your eligibility depends on factors including:
