On Wednesday, we had the pleasure of hosting our very first holiday party mixer along with our partners at Mobile Therapy Specialists and sponsored by Legacy Homecare L.A.! Our vision was to connect professionals from across the continuum of care to get to know each other and build connections to improve care delivery and patient outcomes (and have fun doing it!). I'd say we accomplished that and we're already talking about when we can do it next! If you couldn't make it this time, we'd love to have you at our next mixer. Shoot me a message and I'll make sure to invite you! We are better together and the future is bright for therapy services in Orange County!

Down to the wire again but we can't let October pass without wishing our physical therapy colleagues a happy Physical Therapy Month!

It's the very last day of National Fall Prevention Month so I had to post about it before it's too late!

As occupational therapists who work in the home, we play a massive role in fall prevention for our clients. Noticing the gap in education and training for our seniors, Deluxe Therapy Solutions has developed and implemented the Solid Ground Comprehensive Falls Program, a program providing education on 9+ fall risk factors and how seniors can take initiative to decrease their risk for falls. Our program is based on the CDC's STEADI initiative as well other evidence-based fall programs. Though they cannot be prevented 100%, we have the power to decrease the risk and severity, ensuring independence for years to come!

If you or a loved one has experienced a recent fall, has any new or chronic diagnoses that increase the risk for falls, or have a significant fear of falling, feel free to reach out!
