"W.B. Yeats' poem 'The Second Coming' is pretty famous, and the line 'The center cannot hold' has popped up in all sorts of books and music. You might've heard of an amazing book called 'The Center Cannot Hold: My Journey Through Madness' by Elyn R. Saks - she wrote about overcoming schizophrenia.
In Yeats' poem, he talks about a world going haywire after World War I, with things falling apart and communication breaking down. Even though the poem is from 1919, it still fits today because it captures a feeling of chaos and big changes coming. The idea of the world spinning out of control and something bad looming continues to make sense in our world today.
By the way, if you're into TV series, Dominic West, who plays Prince Charles in 'The Crown,' has read this poem. I love the poem, even though I am not a native English speaker, and some subtleties of the language might be lost to me
