Hello Friends! I have news! This picture is from my latest adventure with my Trager Somatic Therapy and Education Group in Fort Myers, FL!
I have a few things I'd like to share with you! I was going to create a snazzy, slick newsletter but when I was over an hour in on the work, clicked a wrong button and lost everything I had created, I decided just talking to you was fine. I will be brief as far as the information will allow, to the point and do my best to keep you entertained as well. If you know me, you know marketing isn't my specialty, but I have several things I want to you to be in the know about, so stay tuned to the end if you can!
If you have come in for a session with me in the last 5-7 years, then you have probably heard me talk about The Trager®️ Approach and experienced bits and pieces of this style of bodywork I have been studying since 2017. I am happy to announce that I received my Certified Practitioner status in September of 2025. My certification was delayed due to life, as so often happens, but I am excited to begin offering sessions of this wonderful healing modality to my clients and the general public.
What is The Trager®️ Approach? Excellent question.
Developed over 50 years ago by Dr. Milton Trager, The Trager®️ Approach isn't about fixing you – It's about helping your body rediscover comfort, lightness and effortless movement. Instead of pushing through pain, Trager works with your nervous system to release tension from the inside out. We use gentle movement and touch to calm the nervous system, which reduces muscle guarding and chronic tension, often leading to profound change in the body as a whole.
Trager is collaborative. I, as the practitioner and you as the receiver, work together to rediscover pathways to spaciousness in breath, movement and length in the body. Clients often feel taller, more centered within and an effortlessness of mobility when they arrive back on their feet after the table work. We reinforce these feelings with gentle movement off the table, guided and self-lead, to help you recall these sensations of lightness and ease in your daily life, fostering self-agency in your wellbeing.
Many clients also report a feeling of being awake, energized and lively after receiving a session. I know I do!
This work is cumulative in nature, and my goal is for you to eventually not need me to reconnect with these sensations in your body, to bring you home to yourself and reconnect with the ease of free movement that is always available to you, all you need is to remember and experience it again. And of course, I will be available to you if a reminder is needed.
A full Trager®️ Approach session is generally 90 minutes in length, which includes pre and post interview and movement with about 75 minutes of work done on the table. The client remains clothed in loose fitting, comfortable clothing. Please refrain from any restrictive items that provide compression of any kind when receiving a Trager session. No oils or lotions are used during these sessions.
My fee for this session is $135, but I am offering your first session for the price of my 60 minute sessions of therapeutic massage at $75. This offer includes any of you who so graciously allowed me to practice with you over the years. I will do my best to make this approach available to all who would like to experience it.
I will be offering Trager®️ Approach sessions on a limited schedule in order to incorporate them into my usual massage schedule and not overwhelm myself. Please contact me directly at 606-643-5462 by phone call or text to request a session. These sessions will not be available to schedule on my website at this time.
In other news:
I have a handful openings for new or returning massage clients beginning late March and April. This is a great time to grab a drop in spot, or to work in to my regular schedule if you would like to incorporate regular self care into your routine. Check my website for availability. I have opened up the parameters to allow for better viewing of what I have coming up. Or you can always contact me directly if you wish or can't find what you need on the website. I also have a standing cancellation call list for those who would like to be on standby for any openings that may come available.
My associate, Aleeza Costantino continues to grow her practice and her skill set. I am so pleased to have had her working with me for two years now! Aleeza has been a great addition to our services at Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. If you are needing evening or weekend sessions, you are in good hands with Aleeza! Her availability is Saturday – Monday 11am to 6pm, Tuesday and Friday for a lunch time session at 1pm or evenings from 6pm to 8pm.
From deep tissue work to nervous system regulation, we have you covered at Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Schedule a session and see what these approaches can do for you!

P.S. If you have received a Trager session from me in the past, if you would be so kind as to leave a comment on this post to share your experience, I would greatly appreciate it. This work can be so profound, I want to share it with my community, and that means helping people understand what it is and what they can get from it. I thank you!
