Looking back on a meaningful evening of connection, conversation, and clinical insight.

UCR Health recently brought together our specialists and local primary care physicians and clinical colleagues for An Evening of Clinical Insights, a physician educational dinner in Riverside.

Featured physicians James Lee, MD, Interventional Cardiology; Ramy Sadek, MD, Non-Interventional Cardiology; Henry Yang, MD, Neurology; and Mahsa Khayat-Khoei, MD, Neurology, joined attendees for an engaging discussion centered on clinical challenges that matter most to primary care.

Events like this help strengthen relationships across our local provider community and create opportunities for shared learning, collaboration, and more connected care across the Inland Empire.

Thank you to our featured physicians and everyone who joined us for the evening. We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue building strong partnerships with providers throughout our community.

Day 2 of the CAHIP-Inland Empire Senior Summit was all about stepping up our Medicare game! 🏈

Our team had a fantastic time repping jerseys and showing how UCR Health brings top-tier academic medicine straight to our Inland Empire community.

We dove into a full schedule of breakout sessions, covering everything from cybersecurity best practices to group health strategies. A major highlight was hearing from keynote speaker and former NFL quarterback Vince Ferragamo on leadership and teamwork!

Thank you to everyone who connected with us. It was an incredible day of team-building and sharing our clinical expertise with regional partners.

Stay tuned for our final Summit Recap!

Day 1 at the Senior Summit is in the books! 📸

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth yesterday! It was wonderful connecting with our local healthcare community, insurance professionals, health plans, and Medicare brokers in person.

Building these meaningful connections is key to expanding our access to quality care for residents across Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

We were especially glad to share the news that UCR Health is welcoming commercial HMO patients this upcoming Annual Enrollment Period!

Stay tuned for a glimpse into our Day 2 and Day 3 🌟

This morning, UCR Health and UCR School of Medicine (UC Riverside School of Medicine) proudly hosted our first-ever event with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society ( Multiple Sclerosis Society), bringing together researchers, clinicians, patient advocates, and community partners to talk about the future of MS care in the Inland Empire 🧡

We were honored to have Mahsa Khayat-Khoei, MD, our neuroimmunologist and MS specialist, and Seema Tiwari-Woodruff, professor of biomedical sciences, share their expertise, alongside NMSS staff, patient advocates, and community partners who joined the conversation.

We heard how NMSS is advocating for MS patients across California, from shaping policy to ensuring the "Voice of the Patient" is heard where it matters most: research funding. Their patient-informed study with the FDA is now helping direct MS research grants toward the areas patients say need it most.

We're excited to build on this momentum and launch MS patient educational meetings right here in the Inland Empire, created in partnership with NMSS to connect our community with resources, research, and each other.

Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation today and to NMSS for choosing UCR as the site for this first event. This is just the beginning.
