The double standard is kind of bonkers when you really think about it.

If my kid has a high fever for days, I call the doctor.

But when our tween or teen is suddenly more anxious, angry, withdrawn, moody, or just seems…different?

Suddenly we think we’re supposed to KNOW.

Is this normal?
Should I give it space?
Should I step in?
Does this need more support?

And as a parent with trauma myself, I know how much harder it can be to tell when your gut is telling you something and when your nervous system is already scanning for danger.

I’ve spent 15+ years as a therapist working with teens, parents, trauma, and families, and there actually ARE things we can look at to help us understand what we’re seeing, what to do next, and how to respond in a way that helps our kids keep coming toward us.

That’s exactly why I created Normal Teen Behavior or Red Flag?

In less than an hour, I walk you through the framework I use to help you decide whether to let it breathe, lean in, step in, or get more support, and what to actually DO next.

These behaviors can be typical. They can also be signs that your teen needs more support.

Do you give it space? Lean in? Step in? Get more support?

When you’re parenting with trauma, that uncertainty can send your nervous system into HELP. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO HERE?!

But here’s the truth: you’re not actually supposed to just know.

And the pressure we put on ourselves to figure it out alone? It’s honestly kind of bonkers.

That’s why I created Normal Teen Behavior or Red Flag?

It’s $47 and takes less than 1 hour. In that time, I’ll walk you through the framework I use so you can:

1️⃣ Feel more confident knowing when something can breathe and when your child may need more support.

2️⃣ Help your child feel more safety and security because you’re responding to what they actually need.

3️⃣ Keep building trust, creating the kind of relationship where your teen keeps moving toward you, not away from you.

Help me make it make sense?
Why are parents supposed to just KNOW?

And when we’re parenting with trauma, it can be even harder to see things clearly because our nervous system may already be scanning for danger...hello, hypervigilance 🙋‍♀️

A high fever? We call the doctor.
But anxiety, withdrawal, moodiness, or behavior changes?

Suddenly we’re supposed to figure out on our own if it’s normal, something to watch, or something that needs more support. And of course we can’t. We were never taught this.

I spent 20 years in practice learning this as a licensed therapist, working with clients, parents, teens, and through my own motherhood process.

That’s exactly why I created Normal Teen Behavior or Red Flag?

In less than an hour, you’ll have a clear framework to understand what you’re seeing and exactly how to respond in ways that support your child and build more connection in your relationship.

Comment NORMAL and I’ll send you the details.
