These splints are usually made out of thermoplastic material, and require the skill of an occupational therapist to measure, trace, and adjust the splint to accurately fit the patient’s hand. Splints help promote healing, maintain bone alignment, reduce pain, protect injuries, and help compensate for surrounding muscular weakness.

Isaque was born in Brazil and moved to the US at a very early age. He went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California. His clinical training includes participating in the rehabilitation and the performance of athletes from the MLB, NFL, NCAA, PGA as well as members of the United States Armed Forces ⚾️🏈⛳️🇺🇸

Through having to work through injuries from b-boying/breakdancing, Johnny found an interest in physical therapy. He developed a passion for helping others regain their confidence with their movement when volunteering at local clinics. Johnny loves learning about movement and aims to help individuals reach their highest physical potential. When not in the clinic, Johnny enjoys making coffee, weight training, and exploring the outdoors ☕️🏋🏻🧗🏻‍♂️🌄

With +600 muscles in our body, it’s important to keep them strong! 💪🏻

When we think of muscles, we usually picture skeletal muscle, which attach to bones in our body by tendons that work together to:
