Why It Works Wednesday

Exercise should help your body feel stronger, not more painful. Physical therapy can help improve your form, adjust your movements, and reduce extra stress on your joints so you can build strength more safely and consistently.

Movement Monday: The Glute Bridge

Strong glutes do more than help you perform in the gym—they play a key role in supporting your hips, pelvis, and spine during everyday activities.

The glute bridge is one of our favorite foundational exercises because it helps:

✅ Build hip and glute strength
✅ Improve pelvic and trunk stability
✅ Support healthy movement patterns during walking, running, lifting, and climbing stairs
✅ Reduce excessive stress on the low back by improving hip function
✅ Improve balance and overall movement efficiency

💡 King PT Tip: Focus on squeezing your glutes to lift your hips rather than arching through your low back. Quality of movement matters more than how high you lift.

At King Physical Therapy, we frequently use bridge variations as part of rehabilitation programs for back pain, hip pain, running injuries, post-surgical recovery, and general strength development.

Your goals become our plan. Your progress is our purpose.

Why It Works Wednesday

Chronic pain can create a frustrating cycle:
Pain leads to less activity, less activity leads to deconditioning, and deconditioning can make everyday tasks feel even harder.

Research shows that recovery often improves when people combine movement, strength-building, and education about pain. Understanding how the nervous system processes pain can help reduce fear, improve confidence, and make it easier to return to meaningful activities.

✅ King Physical Therapy can help you:
• Understand why pain does not always equal damage
• Learn how the nervous system influences pain
• Pace activities without avoiding movement
• Build strength and endurance gradually
• Return to the activities that matter most

The goal isn’t to avoid pain forever.
The goal is to build confidence, resilience, and the ability to do more of what you love.

⭐️ Patient Review Spotlight ⭐️

There is no greater compliment than hearing that a patient received exactly what they were looking for.

💬 “Perfect size office. Great staff. Access to CrossFit gym next door for when a bigger space is needed. Was everything I wanted in therapy.”

At King Physical Therapy, we believe great outcomes happen when patients receive:
✅ One-on-one care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy
✅ Individualized treatment plans
✅ Access to the right environment for every stage of recovery
✅ A team that truly listens and cares

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing pain, returning to sport, or working toward everyday goals, our mission remains the same:

💙 Compassion
💙 Connection
💙 Excellence
💙 Integrity
💙 Growth

Your goals become our plan. Your progress is our purpose.

Thank you, Nick, for trusting our team and for taking the time to share your experience!

☀️"If your parent or grandparent suddenly seems more confused, dizzy, or unsteady this summer, dehydration should be on the list of possibilities."

What many people don't realize is that dehydration doesn't always feel like thirst.
It can show up as:
💧 Dizziness
💧 Fatigue
💧 Confusion
💧 Muscle cramps
💧 Balance problems

Sometimes these symptoms are mistaken for other health conditions when the real issue may be as simple as not getting enough fluids.

Take a moment today to check on yourself, your parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends. Staying hydrated is one of the simplest ways to support your health this summer.

Fun Fact Friday 💙

Many people think arthritis means they should avoid activity.

Research actually tells us the opposite.

Exercise is considered a first-line treatment for osteoarthritis because it can:

✅ Reduce pain
✅ Improve strength
✅ Improve mobility
✅ Increase confidence with daily activities
✅ Help you stay independent and active

At King Physical Therapy, we help patients find the right amount of movement—not too little and not too much—so they can continue doing the things they love.

Arthritis may be common, but limitations don’t have to be.

Your goals become our plan. Your progress is our purpose.
