Kody Janney's "Red Tide" is shown and "is a view of an inlet on British Columbia’s Salt Spring Island, where signs everywhere warned about not getting in the water, not eating fish caught there, etc. I was struck by how lovely this terrible environmental situation was on a visual level. In this painting I tried to capture the beauty that can be found even in the worst of situations."
