Spiritwood residents celebrated the end of summer by attending a Seattle Mariners game at T-Mobile Park! They enjoyed a classic ballpark hot dog, sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", and cheered on the home team. Lidia even received a very special rendition of happy birthday, sung by other ballpark attendees - following her song she got to take photos with a Mariner's home run trident (or two!) It was a beautiful evening to watch baseball!

A little rain didn't stop the Spiritwood community from having a fantastic afternoon luau on Saturday! Residents and their loved ones got into the Hawaiian spirit as they danced to the music provided by the Vintage Vibes Band, enjoyed a delicious polynesian buffet, and stopped by our tiki bar. We all wore leis and got on the dance floor - it was so fun! Spiritwood brought the Island sunshine to a grey Seattle day, and everyone sang, laughed, and enjoyed an afternoon spent together!

Mamma Mia! Spiritwood residents headed to the Issaquah Community Center to see the Abbagraphs perform! They had a fantastic time singing along with their favorite songs, dancing the night away, and spending time outside on a beautiful evening!

Cheers to 100!
Spiritwood resident Daphne celebrated her 100th birthday on Tuesday, surrounded by family and friends! Born in Suffolk, England in 1926, Daphne worked in education as a teacher and Vice Principal, and was a dedicated PTA volunteer. Daphne and her family moved to the United States in 1953, and she has lived in the Seattle area since 1991. We are lucky to have her here at Spiritwood, and to share in her 100th birthday celebration!

Happy Mother's Day from Spiritwood! Our dining room was filled with smiling faces, laughter, music, and love on Sunday as our residents and their families gathered together to celebrate! Our dining team prepared a phenomenal meal, and our Executive Director Brenda created flower arrangements that everyone loved!
