✅In my 3-Step DNA Method for ADHD, if you’re on multiple medications, I often recommend staying on your current plan for at least 3 months while we replenish your body’s genetic needs.

Then we start a very slow taper using hyperbolic tapering. The goal is to reduce the risk of withdrawal symptoms while filling in the missing gaps.

🛑😵‍💫Big DNA companies sell tests, then push supplement recommendations that make you feel personalized when you’re really just another number.

That’s the problem with one-size-fits-all DNA reports.

They miss what those variants are actually calling out for.

I’ve seen test results where minerals were severely imbalanced, and the recommendations barely touched the real issue.🫥

🧬My protocol goes much deeper than ADHD.

I look at 30 DNA methylation genes and 103 biomarkers.

With MTHFR + SHMT and a family history of dementia, testing felt like a no-brainer.

My husband’s father recently passed from dementia, and that made this about more than focus.

One gene is not like the other when it comes to DNA methylation + ADHD…

Let me explain 👇

🫆One test might look at MAOA rs6323 (this is what I analyze)—a SNP directly studied in mental health that impacts serotonin enzyme activity.

🛑But other tests?
They’ll check a different location on the same gene… and call it a day.

That’s where things fall apart.

🫥Because when you also ignore minerals + amino acids, you completely miss how to actually support the body.

👋Hi, I’m Jennifer Schiavi, board-certified nurse practitioner with a functional medicine certificate in ADHD, a Harvard certificate in genetic essentials, and training in nutrigenomics.

🛑Big brands want to sell you a DNA test and hand you a supplement plan.

But nutrigenomics is not that simple.

🧬You have to look at the demands on the body and the full picture of how genes affect minerals, amino acids, detox, and gut health.

😕Most of these tests don’t even look at the same SNPs or regulatory regions, and many miss key SNPs I do look at.

The 30-SNP panel is what drives the rest of the body, and for mental health, we do not need full genome sequencing.

👩‍⚕️👉🏻That’s why I don’t interpret other tests. I work from my 3-Step DNA Method for ADHD with the the 30 SNPs + 103 biomarkers , so people get clarity instead of wasting money on incomplete puzzle pieces.
