Good friends look out for one another. 🤝 This National Friendship Day, let that care include protecting their skin.
Skin cancer is highly treatable when caught early. 🩺 A full-body exam takes about 15 minutes, yet it's the kind of appointment that quietly slips down the to-do list. 📋

So be the friend who follows up.
📱Text a friend and ask when they last had a skin check.
🧴 Share your sunscreen on your next walk together. Broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher guards against UVA and UVB rays, the two types that cause sunburn and lasting damage.
👀 Keep an eye out for each other. If you notice a mole on a friend's back that has changed in size, shape, or color, say something.

Whether you're a student looking out for a roommate or checking in on a lifelong friend, this care crosses every age. 💛

👉 @ Tag a friend who's due for a skin check.

☀️ Summer means more skin on show, and more time to notice spots you may have overlooked. A quick self-check takes two minutes and could catch something early.

Atypical moles, growths that look different from your other moles, can be an early sign of skin cancer. Here is what to watch for:
• A is for Asymmetry. One half does not match the other.
• B is for Border. Edges look uneven, ragged, or blurred.
• C is for Color. Shades vary, or you notice brown, black, red, or white in one spot.
• D is for Diameter. The mole is larger than a pencil eraser, about 6 millimeters.
• E is for Evolving. The spot changes in size, shape, or color over time.

If a spot looks suspicious, exhibits any of these characteristics, or simply feels wrong, it deserves a definitive, professional diagnosis.

Pool water keeps you cool on hot days. It can also strip your skin of its natural oils, leaving it tight, flaky, or irritated, especially if you already have eczema or sensitive skin.

🚿 Rinse before swimming. A quick pre-swim shower means your skin will soak up less chlorine.
💧 Apply a moisturizer first. A thin layer of cream creates a barrier between your skin and pool water.
🧼 Wash off right after. Rinse with clean water within a few minutes of leaving the pool to remove lingering chlorine.
🧴 Moisturize again while damp. Apply cream to slightly wet skin to lock in hydration.
👕 Pat dry gently. Rubbing with a towel can irritate skin that is already sensitive.

These small steps keep summer fun while protecting your skin barrier all season long.
