To be named Ithaca’s Person of the Year 2025 is an honor I never imagined- I accept it not just for myself, but for the community that has shaped me, challenged me and inspired me everyday.
When I first heard of the news, I thought about all the people who have walked before me and alongside me on this journey. ( My name will be the last name on the plaque that hangs in City Hall) Next year the winner will start a new plaque)
