💙 Thank You for Supporting Preeclampsia Awareness Month 💙 As Preeclampsia Awareness Month comes to a close, the Labor & Delivery team at Faith Community Hospital would like to say thank you.
Thank you to the families, patients, and community members who took time to learn, share, and engage in conversations about preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, prenatal care, and postpartum health.

Awareness saves lives — not just in May, but every day. By knowing the signs, speaking up, and seeking care when something doesn’t feel right, we can help protect moms and babies in our community.

Education doesn’t end here, and neither does our commitment to compassionate, evidence‑based care.

💙 Thank you for being part of the awareness. 💙

💙 World Preeclampsia Day – May 22 💙 Today we recognize World Preeclampsia Day, a global day dedicated to raising awareness about a condition that affects families everywhere.

Preeclampsia can develop during pregnancy or after delivery, progress quickly, and present with symptoms that are sometimes overlooked or misunderstood. Education and early recognition save lives.

On this day, the Labor & Delivery team at Faith Community Hospital stands with families by sharing knowledge, encouraging advocacy, and reminding every parent to trust their instincts.
If something doesn’t feel right — during pregnancy or postpartum — seek medical care right away.
Awareness leads to action.
Action leads to safer outcomes.

Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate Hospital Week, and we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU 💙

Last week was filled with celebrations, smiles, food, fun, and most importantly, appreciation for the incredible team members who care for our communities every single day. From our hospital staff to our clinic teams, we are grateful for the compassion, hard work, and dedication you bring to patients and families across Faith Community Health System.

A special thank you to the businesses and community partners who helped make this week extra special:
🍦 Dairy Queen for the free dipped cone coupons
☀️ Solaris Hospice for cooking and serving lunch to our Jacksboro campus
⚾ Positive Country Radio for the Texas Ranger tickets

We are proud to serve this community and thankful for the support shown to our healthcare teams this week and every week. 💚

💙 Postpartum Preeclampsia Awareness 💙 It is a myth that “delivery is the cure” for preeclampsia. Preeclampsia can develop after birth, affecting moms up to 6 weeks postpartum — even if blood pressure was normal during pregnancy.

⚠️ Seek care immediately if you experience:
• Severe or persistent headaches
• Vision changes
• Shortness of breath
• Swelling of the face or hands
• Upper abdominal pain
• Nausea or vomiting
• Sudden weight gain

If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and contact your healthcare provider or return to the hospital. Your health matters — during pregnancy and after delivery.
