Several weeks ago, UMMC Ortho Chiefs Chibuzo Akalonu and Matthew Wahl led by Dr. Leitch, went to the Komfo Anokye Hospital in Khumasi, Ghana to perform complex pediatric and deformity cases along side the residents and attendings at the institution.

It's an invaluable learning and teaching opportunity that chief residents have been participating in for the past several years. Special thanks to Dr. Paa Baidoo, Dr. Godwin Opuni, and all the residents and staff who welcomed them and made their trip so memorable.
