You don’t have to earn rest. You have to schedule it.

High performers are great at pushing hard. Not so great at building in recovery.

But here’s the thing β€” rest isn’t a reward for working hard enough. It’s part of the work. Your muscles rebuild during recovery. Your nervous system resets. Your body adapts to the load you’ve been putting it through.

Skip it long enough and your body will schedule it for you. Usually at the worst possible time.

Whether that’s a full rest day, a walk instead of a run, or actually showing up to PT β€” protect your recovery like you protect your training.
