This Labor Day, Hospice of Amador & Calaveras is asking our community to join us in our annual Labor of Love Appeal and help ensure that no one in our community has to face the end of life alone.

Last year, we provided compassionate hospice care to more than 200 patients throughout Amador and Calaveras Counties.

As an independent nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue providing comfort, dignity, and compassionate care to local patients and families.

💙 We are honored to share some wonderful news! 💙

Hospice of Amador & Calaveras has received the 2026 Hospice CAHPS Honors Award, a national recognition celebrating hospice agencies that consistently deliver exceptional care as measured by the experiences of patients and their families.

This honor is especially meaningful because it is based directly on caregiver feedback. HOAC scored above the MatrixCare National Performance Score on at least 17 of the 22 quality measures evaluated, including whether families would recommend our hospice to others.

Behind this award is an extraordinary team of employees and volunteers who bring compassion, dignity, integrity, and excellence to every patient and family we have the privilege of serving. Every visit, phone call, comforting conversation, coordinated service, and act of kindness contributes to the experience our families carry with them.

At a time when trust in hospice care matters more than ever, we are incredibly proud to have the quality of our care affirmed by the families who know it firsthand.
