Congratulations to our July 2026 Employee of the Month, Maria Norwood!

Maria was nominated for being the kind of teammate who never watches the clock. She checks in with coworkers before heading out, stays late when the clinic needs her, and has even worked through lunch so someone else could take a break. When new team members joined a busy clinic, Maria jumped in, juggled a heavy workload, and made sure everything ran smoothly from day one.

We have been sharing a lot about Dr. Hamilton’s impressive credentials and expertise, but we want you to get to know the person behind the physician too!

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hamilton is a devoted family man who loves to travel and spend time outdoors camping with his family. You'll catch him cheering for the Ole Miss Rebels on game day.

Dr. Hamilton has a passion for treating complex heart rhythm conditions and making a meaningful difference in the lives of his patients. After serving as chief of the EP section at UMMC for seven years, we are beyond honored that he has chosen Jackson Heart Clinic as his next chapter.
