Today, two of our bright youth from Northampton County 4-H took on the challenge of State Presentations and we are so proud of them both. Great job Jacob and Matthew! And a special shout out to Jacob for placing Bronze in his category of Fisheries and Aquatics!

These four youth represented Northampton County well today at the Northeast District 4-H District Activity Day!

They delivered presentations on the topics of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Livestock & Dairy Production, Citizenship/Community Service, and Careers & Entrepreneurship, with one also singing for 4-H Entertains. Each demonstrated their knowledge, confidence, and passion for their topics. We are incredibly proud of all four for their hard work and dedication.

A special congratulations goes to:
- Jacob Dalzell, who earned Silver in his age division for Fisheries & Aquatic Resources.
- Matthew Daughtry, who earned Gold in his age division for Citizenship/Community Service.

Jacob and Matthew will now advance to the NC 4-H State Presentations, where they will showcase their knowledge and public speaking skills. We wish them the very best as they prepare for state competition!

Congratulations to all of our presenters for representing Northampton County 4-H so well. We are proud of each of you! 💚🍀

What an amazing day at the 2026 Hertford-Northampton Livestock Show and Sale! (June 10, 2026)

We are incredibly proud of the youth from Northampton, Hertford, and Bertie Counties who showcased their hard work, dedication, and growth during this year's livestock project. Thank you to all the families, supporters, buyers, sponsors, volunteers, and community members who came out to encourage these young people.

It was wonderful to see our communities come together to celebrate the accomplishments of our youth. We can't wait to see what next year brings! 🐄🐖🐐🐑

Wow! What a great day!

Northampton County 4-H is so thankful for the hard work and dedication of our amazing youth who participated in today’s Northeast Junior Dairy Show. Each of them did a fantastic job, and we couldn't be prouder!

We also want to thank the family members who support these youth and our program. Your encouragement, commitment, and support is so appreciated!

Congratulations to all of our participants. We are proud of each and every one of you! 🐄💚🍀

The NC Youth Livestock Program helps young people learn more about the livestock industry through hands-on projects and competitions. Come join us as youth from Northampton, Hertford, and Bertie counties show off their hard work, livestock skills, and knowledge!
