June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and it’s time to talk about the numbers we usually brush under the rug.

According to data from the CDC and the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention:

-4x Higher: Men die by su***de nearly 4 times more often than women.

-The Silent Majority: Out of all su***de deaths in the United States, roughly 80% are men.

-Under the Radar: Men are statistically much less likely to seek professional mental health treatment or report symptoms of depression than women.

The problem isn't that men don't struggle. The problem is that men are taught to suffer in absolute silence.

When society tells you to "man up," it's actually asking you to mask your pain until it becomes unmanageable. True strength isn’t pretending you have it all under control while carrying severe anxiety, depression, or burnout completely on your own. True strength is having the courage to look honestly at your own life and say, "I need the right tools and support to get through this."

To every man quietly fighting a battle with his own mind right now:

We see you. You matter. Your stress, your exhaustion, and your feelings are completely valid—and you don't have to carry the weight of the world alone.

Let’s start encouraging men to speak up instead of just telling them to "man up." Because the truth is, sharing your burden isn't failing—talking saves lives. 💙

If you or a man you love is ready to talk, the link to book a consultation is in our first comment. Let's start breaking the silence. Drop a 💙 in the comments to show your support for breaking the silence.

Them: "Can you help me move this weekend? I know it's short notice!" 🏠📦

My Mouth: "Absolutely, I'll bring the truck and pizza!" 😁

My Soul: [Internal Screaming] 😱🛑

Learning to set boundaries feels like being a "villain" when you've been a people-pleaser your whole life. You think you're "being mean," but you're actually just being honest about your capacity.

The truth is, saying 'no' to others is often the only way to say 'yes' to yourself. Boundaries aren't walls to keep people out; they’re gates that let you decide what you actually have the energy to handle.

Drop a 🛑 in the comments if you’re trying to say 'No' more often this month! 👇

My Inner Critic: "You didn't do enough today. Everyone is doing better than you. Also, your hair looks weird." 🙄

The Truth: "I’m doing the best I can with the energy I have. Comparing my 'behind-the-scenes' to everyone else’s 'highlight reel' is a trap. And my hair is fine, Sharon."

Low self-esteem isn't a personality trait—it’s just a loud, mean habit of the brain. At Rise and Renew, we help you mute your inner critic so you can finally hear your own voice again. 🌿✨

Drop a "DONE" if you're choosing kindness over criticism today. 👇

Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Whether today is filled with joy, or if it feels heavy with grief, loss, or complicated emotions—you are seen. Motherhood requires immense strength, and it is okay to take a step back and care for yourself today.

Be gentle with your heart.

My brain is a world-class athlete when it comes to "Overthinking the Worst." 🏆

I can take a "we need to talk" text and turn it into a 30-second spiral that goes:
What did I do wrong? They definitely hate me. I’m going to get fired. I should probably just pack my bags and move to a different state where no one knows my name. 🏃‍♀️💨

It’s exhausting.

But lately, I’ve been trying a new strategy: What if I overthought the best-case scenario with that same level of intensity?

Instead of: "What if they're mad at me?"
Try: "What if they’re about to tell me how much they appreciate my hard work?"

Instead of: "What if I fail and it’s embarrassing?"
Try: "What if I succeed and it opens a door I didn’t even know existed?"

If your brain is going to keep you up at night anyway, you might as well give it a better script to rehearse. 🌿✨

What is one "best-case scenario" you’re going to overthink today? Let’s practice in the comments. 👇

Hi, I’m Jessyca, a licensed clinical social worker. 👋

My work is grounded in attachment based theory, with a focus on creating a safe, secure space where you can show up as you are. I don’t believe you need to be fixed; I’m here to support you in understanding yourself, healing, and shifting patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we move toward the person you want to be in a way that feels realistic and lasting.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new coffee shops, thrifting, and taking the occasional road trip. I also value slower, cozy time to recharge. You can often find me spending that time with my beloved cat.

✨I am currently accepting new clients!

Me at 9:00 AM: “I’ve done so much work on myself. I am a lighthouse. I am calm. I am Zen.” 🧘‍♀️✨

Me at 9:15 AM (after someone cuts me off in traffic): “So this is how it ends. The universe is testing me, and I am failing. I have learned nothing. Everything is a disaster.” 🚗💨

Sound familiar?

One of the biggest hurdles in therapy is unlearning the idea that progress is a straight line upward. In reality, healing is a chaotic squiggle. It’s three steps forward, a giant loop-de-loop back for a "regression snack break," and then a messy crawl toward a new perspective. The "squiggle" doesn't mean you’re failing; it means you’re human.

At Rise and Renew, we don't expect you to have it all together. We’re here to help you navigate the loops, find your footing after the traffic jams, and realize that even the messy days are part of the growth. 🌿

Healing isn’t a switch you flip; it’s a series of quiet wins. 🌿

We often think "getting better" means never feeling sad, angry, or anxious again. But at Rise and Renew, we define success differently. It’s about the moment you realize you have a choice in how you respond to your own brain.

It’s the "caught it" moments. The "I’m not doing this today" moments. The "I need help" moments.

Growth is found in the awareness, not the perfection.

Which one of these has been your biggest win lately? I’d love to celebrate with you in the comments. 👇✨
