Beenen Therapy Group, located in Northeast Florida, is an experienced psychotherapy practice treating adolescents, adults, couples and families. Our therapists use an eclectic approach by incorporating traditional and newer psychotherapeutic modalities— psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, EMDR (trauma therapy), Gottman Method (couples therapy) DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy for emotional re

gulation) , ERP (exposure and response prevention; for OCD and anxiety), ART (accelerated resolution therapy for trauma) among other methods. We specialize in treating trauma (PTSD), co-dependency, grief, depression, anxiety, OCD, parenting and relationship challenges.

Beenen Therapy Group clinical director and founder, Selina Beenen, LCSW, has been a licensed psychotherapist in practice for 23 years and hand-selects each therapist in the practice to meet the needs of each client. She provides direct supervision to ensure that each client receives comprehensive care and that the treatment is effective for each individual and family. Our goal is to use all the treatment techniques possible to affect positive change in each individual, couple, and/or family. We like to see good results as quickly as possible...not years of therapy.

A lot of the people we work with are high-functioning on the outside…but internally, they feel stuck, disconnected, or not enough.

And underneath that is often this quiet belief:
“Something about me is broken”

But trauma doesn’t take your worth.
It distorts your relationship to it.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about reconnecting with who you’ve always been before the coping, the pressure, the survival mode.

Thank you to Bolles School for giving us the opportunity to share with parents insights and skills to connect with their kids and support them in pursuit of success!

Over the last few months we have provided educational talks to teach parents communication skills and psychoeducation on their adolescents developing brain, the feedback has been really positive and we look forward to continuing this series!!
