Create a rally point (sanctuary) and support community for Active Military, Veterans, First Responders and their families, united by a shared commitment to address mental health and foster emotional healing through water-based activities. Our Mission is to come together as a community of waterman for Active Duty Military, Veteran, and 1st Responder to actively help them cope with PTSD symptoms, Depression, Anxiety, and Suicide by creating meaningful connections and sharing the healing powers of the ocean, rivers, and lakes via outdoor physical and recreational activities.

🙏 RACE DAY PRAYER | CHATTAJACK 32 MILES 🌊💪

Heavenly Father,

After four months of discipline, sacrifice, and preparation, today we take on 32 miles. You know the battles each of us carries and the victories we celebrate. Give us strength in our bodies, determination in our minds, and peace in our hearts.

Help us race with courage, compete with integrity, and give everything we have. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be first across that finish line! You created us with a warrior spirit and a drive to pursue excellence. But remind us that the greatest victory is the journey we’ve shared, the people beside us, and the faith that carries us through.

Protect us on the water. When the miles get hard, strengthen us. Let us encourage one another, celebrate every victory, and finish together with grateful hearts.

🌊🤙 Sisters of the Sea— BRINGING THE STOKE, THE STRENGTH, AND THE MANA!🤙🌊

Some organizations do more than surf. They build community, empower others, and remind us what the ocean can do when we come together. Sisters of the Sea is one of those organizations! ❤️🏄‍♀️

Task Force Hydro1 and Sisters of the Sea are joined at the hip! Many of their surfers are also part of our TFH1 Ohana, including veterans, first responders, and spouses of veterans. They show up for our community time and time again, always willing to lend a hand, loan us jerseys, bring the stoke, and share that good mana wherever they go. That's what Ohana is all about!

Gillian took home back-to-back championships in women's longboard! 🏆🏆 What an incredible accomplishment!

But what makes Sisters of the Sea so special goes far beyond the podium. This year, we watched first-time competition surfers paddle out alongside seasoned competitors and professionals. And having a dedicated surf coach empowering these women, helping them grow, and building their confidence is absolutely awesome to witness. That's what happens when you create an environment where women support women and everyone has room to grow.

To the entire Sisters of the Sea crew: THANK YOU for showing up, supporting our mission, and bringing your incredible energy to our events. We are grateful for your friendship, your partnership, and the love you pour into this community.

❤️ TASK FORCE HYDRO1 VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: GARY & CHERI 🌊

Some people come into your life through paddling and become family. That’s Gary and Cheri!

Gary and I clicked from day one down in Cocoa Beach. We know each other’s buttons and have fun pushing them! 😂 But Gary has a huge heart and a servant’s spirit. In fact, he picked up and moved with Cheri from Cocoa Beach to St. Augustine to be closer to the Task Force Hydro1 ohana! I guess he got a little of that Task Force stink on him, and the only way to wash it off is to move here! 😂

Gary has become our go-to trophy maker for nearly all our paddle events, including our last two Guardian Surf Classics. He repairs paddles and canoe iakos, gives his time without expecting anything in return, and is that trusted sixth seat I call when I need a dependable paddler or assistant coach.

Cheri is right there beside him, traveling to races and helping with registration, check-in, and wherever she’s needed. She’s a huge part of our unofficial, official family support crew!

Gary and Cheri, thank you for your generous hearts, your time, and everything you do for Task Force Hydro1. You represent what ohana is all about.

And to all our incredible volunteers, don’t worry — I’ll be highlighting you sooner or later!

Today I received an amazing text that reminded me why we do what we do at Task Force Hydro1. ❤️🌊

It was about the way members of our crew treat people at our events, and honestly, it meant more than you know.

We’re not just here to surf, paddle, or put on events. We’re here for people. Every member of this organization shows up with the same heart and purpose: to let the water help heal them, so they can turn around and help heal others.

We welcome everybody. We believe in meeting people where they are, treating them with kindness, and creating an environment where people feel accepted, supported, and part of something bigger than themselves.

Sometimes, it’s not the biggest moments that make the difference. It’s the small things. A kind word. A helping hand. A genuine smile. Making someone feel like they belong.

When you’re kind to others, good things happen. You may never fully understand the impact you have on someone, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t changing their life.

To the person who took the time to send me that text, thank you. You reminded me that the culture we’re building matters, and that the heart behind this mission is making a difference.

To our entire Task Force Hydro1 Ohana, thank you for continuing to show up for one another and for everyone who walks through our doors or joins us on the water.

🌮🌊 INAUGURAL TACO TUESDAY — BUILDING OUR PADDLING OHANA! 🤙

Boats in the water, friendly competition, shared knowledge, and tacos at the clubhouse! What a great way to bring our paddling community together.

We raced from Aunt Kate’s down to the St. Augustine Inlet and back, then broke bread together at our clubhouse.

The mission? Build our paddling ohana, share the mana of paddling, learn new racing techniques, sharpen our skills, and build friendships on and off the water. It’s about more than racing — it’s about growing together as a community!

Today was pure blessing. 🙏🌊
Task Force Ohana kicked off our first Saturday Stoking Saturday alongside our weekly Paddle Platoon practice, and the Lord showed up in every stroke.
We started by putting Eugenia in seat 6 for her very first time in the ocean. She was nervous—rightfully so—but the crew reminded her: we are a team. We rise and fall together. We are only as fast and strong as our slowest and weakest. And she killed it. Three miles offshore and back. Quiet strength. Pure heart. Proud of you, sister.
Then we pulled into the beach and hung with the Keiki and the surf squad. Took some of the little ones, uncles, and aunties out on the water. Laughter. Salt. Sunshine. Connection.
The biggest blessing wasn’t the miles or the sets—it was all of us together. Some of us are walking through hard things right now: relationship struggles, the anxiety of school starting Monday, PTSD that still tries to speak louder than it should. Today we left those problems on the beach. The water has a way of washing the weight off if you let it.
Thank You, Lord, for the privilege of being salt and light right here on this stretch of sand and sea. None of this is about us. All of it is for Your glory.
