SANCTUARY SPOTLIGHT
As May unfolds, we step into a season of renewal, expansion, and vibrant life. The days grow longer, the earth awakens in full bloom, and we’re reminded of the natural rhythm within us—ready to grow, heal, and realign.
At Taylored Acupuncture + Wellness, this is a time to nourish your energy, support your body’s natural flow, and reconnect with your inner sanctuary.
An Acupuncturist, Educator, and Former professional dancer who’s deeply passionate about helping people understand their bodies on a deeper level, someone who’s always creating and evolving, bringing people together, or finding new ways to connect movement, energy, and healing.
"Before becoming an Acupuncturist, I was a professional dancer for 15 years, performing across the U.S., internationally, and on Broadway—an experience that still influences how I work with the body today." she added.
She loves being able to truly make a difference in people’s lives—helping them get out of pain, but also feeling heard, seen, and supported. She also loves guiding people into different states—helping them shift, soften, and reconnect with themselves in a way they may not experience in their everyday lives.
She was really drawn to Taylored Acupuncture because Taylor’s energy and patient-centered approach immediately resonated with me. It felt aligned with how I practiced in NYC—creating a space where people feel cared for, supported, and truly seen.
If there's something that people may not know about Dr. Erika is that she's been developing "The 5 Element Method" a personalized wellness approach rooted in Chinese Medicine that helps people understand their body’s patterns and needs in a whole new way, you can check it here: the5elementmethod.com (http://www.the5elementmethod.com) .
Dr Erika describes her perfect day off that includes exercise, followed by coffee with friends, a beach trip, browsing a crystal shop, and ending the day with a good meal, time with my husband, or simply unplugging.
True wellness begins at the root—and in many cases, the health of the mouth and the gut are deeply connected. Acupuncture offers a powerful, natural way to support both systems simultaneously by restoring balance within the body.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the mouth is closely connected to the Stomach and Large Intestine meridians. When heat, inflammation, or stagnation builds in these channels, it can manifest as: Gum inflammation or bleeding, Tooth pain or sensitivity, Dry mouth or bad breath, and Recurrent infections.
Acupuncture has been shown to modulate inflammatory responses and improve blood flow, which are key factors in maintaining healthy gums and oral microbiome balance.
May this season of renewal bring you back to yourself—gently, fully, and with ease.
We’re here whenever you need support, guidance, or a moment to reset.
