Did you know?

A mere 2% drop in our body’s water supply can trigger signs of dehydration including dizziness with short term memory loss, trouble with basic math, and difficultly focusing on smaller print.

Mild hydration is also one of the most common causes of daytime fatigue. An estimated 75% of Americans experience this.

Hydration is more important than you may think. Water makes up 60% of our body composition, it helps our tissues and cell membranes to remain moist and function correctly, acts as an internal shock absorber for our bodies, and helps deliver oxygen around our bodies along with many other functions.

Without being hydrated we cannot function properly nor perform at our best during activity.

Learn more about hydration by speaking with your provider here at Sports Recovery Annex or shoot us a DM for more information.

Get hydrated, stay hydrated. 🥤💧

Your body is always communicating with you — tightness, headaches, stiffness, imbalance, numbness, poor recovery, constant discomfort… those aren’t things you should just “push through.”

Pain rarely shows up out of nowhere. Most injuries and chronic issues build over time through compensation, stress, poor movement patterns, and lack of recovery.
The earlier you address it, the easier it is to fix.
Whether it’s massage therapy, chiropractic care, or athletic training, taking care of your body proactively can help you move better, recover faster, and feel better in everyday life.

Don’t wait until your body forces you to slow down.
If something feels off, it probably is.
Call us to make an appointment to start feeling better before it becomes a bigger issue.

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN (FMS)

Movement quality matters just as much as strength, speed, and endurance.

The Functional Movement Screen is a series of 7 movement tests designed to identify mobility limitations, stability deficits, muscular imbalances, and movement compensations before they lead to injury.

In this post, we’re breaking down all 7 FMS tests and showing you how each movement is performed.

Why is FMS important? ⬇️

• Helps identify injury risk factors
• Reveals movement asymmetries
• Improves mobility and stability
• Assists with exercise programming
• Builds a stronger movement foundation for performance and daily life.

Whether you’re an athlete, weekend warrior, or just getting started in fitness, movement screening can help you move better, train smarter, and stay healthier longer.

Want to schedule a Movement Screen? 📲

From Kona 1992 to Jacksonville 2026 🌊

As Jacksonville hosts its very first IRONMAN this weekend, we’re proud to celebrate a special connection to the sport here at Sports Recovery Annex & Iselborn Chiropractic.

Our Medical Director, Dr. Anthony Iselborn, competed in the 1992 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. This weekend, more than 30 years later, he’ll be giving back by volunteering during the swim portion of the race as kayak support for participating athletes.

We’re also proud to cheer on THREE athletes from our clinic competing this weekend. The dedication it takes to complete an IRONMAN is truly incredible.

Good luck to every athlete racing this weekend — trust your training and enjoy the experience. 🔥

Thank you to everyone who came out to our stretch class! We focused on improving mobility, reducing tension, and restoring proper movement where the body needs it most. By targeting key areas like the hips and back we’re not just helping you feel better—we’re improving how you move, recover, and perform.
Consistent mobility work supports better posture, decreases injury risk, and keeps your body functioning at a higher level day-to-day.

If you missed it, don’t worry, we have more classes and workshops coming soon!
