We were honored to have the torch at last week as it makes its way around the area before officially kicking off the American Heart Association - Florida Heart Walk 2026 on October 3rd! ❤️

Holding the torch can't help but remind you of who has held it before and who will hold it again. We're all united in advancing lifesaving research, increasing CPR education and awareness and improving the health of everyone in our area.

Every member of the care team helps build a great patient experience, and when Dani from dietary services stepped up for this patient, it was just another way that he exemplifies what the LOTUS Award is all about.

Dani's kindness, positive attitude and thoughtful attention to detail are noticed by patients and team members alike. Whether helping patients find meals they'll enjoy, making special accommodations during recovery or greeting everyone with a smile, Dani goes above and beyond to make people feel cared for. 💙

These students volunteered across our hospital, gaining firsthand experience while learning what it takes to care for a community. They showed up ready to learn, eager to help and willing to jump in wherever they were needed.

We love seeing members of our VolunTEEN program making us ! 💙

Arianna is Miss Orange Park Sweetheart and an alumna of our VolunTEEN program, which shows local students what it's like to work in health care. She recently returned to our Center for Professional Excellence to attend the Board of Directors meeting, tour the Center, and share her experience as a part of the VolunTEEN program.

It’s obvious that Arianna is going places, and we’re grateful to her for sharing her experiences with us. Here’s Arianna on her time with the VolunTEEN program:

We recently held an Emergency Department Skills Fair where our health care heroes could hear from their colleagues about their particular specialties. Our team members presented on a variety of topics, exchanged valuable insights and shared best practices to help us continue delivering exceptional care to our patients. 🚨

🌼 💚 The moments patients remember most are often the ones filled with compassion, and Daniella always finds a way to show her patients the compassion they need.

Congratulations to Nurse Daniella on receiving her first DAISY Award! 👏 🎉

While caring for a mother during labor, Daniella held her hand through the pain of an epidural, wiped away her tears, fixed her hair afterward and offered words of encouragement that helped replace fear with confidence. 💪

In her nomination story, her patient shared that it didn't feel like "just a nurse" by her side - it felt like having a sister there during one of life's most vulnerable moments.

Thank you, Daniella, for providing extraordinary clinical care with genuine compassion and for creating memories that families will carry with them forever. 💚 🌼
