✨💖Today is officially WWDD Day at SCC💖✨
What Would Dolly Do?
Like so many, our hearts are a little heavier today with the loss of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was never just about the rhinestones, the music or that unmistakable voice. She showed us what it looked like to dream big WITHOUT forgetting where you came from. To work incredibly hard without losing your kindness. To be strong without hardening your heart. To laugh at yourself, lift others up, give generously, and leave people better than you found them. ✨✨✨✨✨✨

Dolly has always been very special to me, and maybe that’s why she has always felt so at home in our culture. Dr. Sprague, our entire team and I believe in working hard, showing up for people, seeing the goodness in others, and treating people with care and kindness. We believe you can expect excellence and still lead with heart. These are values we share, and ones we are proud to live out together every day.

So today, we’re turning something we’ve long loved into something official...

Schilsky Chiropractic Center extends its deepest condolences to the Jacksonville Police Department and the family and friends of Lt. James "X.Y." Brown. He was a true hero in our community.

Lt. Brown served 68 years in law enforcement in Jacksonville, most of it spent as the crossing guard at Northwoods Elementary School. He was a fixture for generations of families.

Thank you for your service, Lt. Brown. You will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who knew and loved him.

We normalize stiffness.

🕊🪷There are some people whose lives become so deeply woven into the fabric of a place that their presence is still felt long after they are gone.

Today is one of those days we simply could not let pass without honoring our Amaya.

Amaya didn't just love others. She loved people. She had a rare gift for seeing the good in everyone and making every person she met feel seen, valued, and cared for. That was her superpower. She gave more in twenty three years than many will give in a lifetime, and the legacy she left on Team SCC continues to shape who we are and how we care for our patients every single day.

To Xavier, Grayson, Melody, and the entire Mills and Sharkey family, thank you for sharing Amaya with us. She is still deeply loved, will forever be profoundly missed, and will always be part of the heart of SCC.

🎉 One year. What an incredible year it's been! Congratulations, Mrs. Caroline! 💙

One year ago, Caroline joined TEAM SCC with a desire to learn, grow, and serve our patients.

What she's accomplished in just one year has been remarkable.

✔️ Earned her Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant (CCCA) credential
✔️ Became certified in X-ray
✔️ Mastered multiple clinical and administrative areas throughout our practice
✔️ Grew into a dependable, highly skilled chiropractic assistant who our team and patients can confidently count on every day

But her accomplishments go beyond certifications.

Caroline has an incredible work ethic, a genuine passion for chiropractic, and a drive to keep learning and improving. Whether she's caring for patients, taking X-rays, assisting Dr. Sprague, or helping keep our practice running smoothly, she brings the same level of professionalism and dedication every single day.

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July from Team SCC! 🇺🇸

As America celebrates 250 years of freedom, I’m reminded how grateful we are to serve this incredible military community. There is something truly special about this corner of North Carolina, where service, sacrifice, and love of country are part of everyday life.

Here, patriotism isn’t reserved for one day a year. It’s reflected in the people we have the privilege of caring for every day, active duty service members, veterans, military spouses, first responders, and the families who stand beside them through every deployment and homecoming.

For our family, this connection runs deep. My father proudly served in the U.S. Army, Dr. Sprague’s grandfather also served in the Army, Boyd serves in Coast Guard JROTC, and many members of Team SCC have served our country themselves or have spouses who continue to wear the uniform today. Caring for this community is more than what we do. It is one of the greatest privileges of our lives.

Whether we’ve had the privilege of caring for you already or our paths simply haven’t crossed yet, thank you for making this community what it is. Your strength, kindness, resilience, and servant hearts inspire us every day.

On behalf of Dr. Sprague, Boyd, and our incredible Team SCC, thank you for allowing us to be a small part of this extraordinary community. We wish you and your loved ones a joyful, safe, and memorable Fourth of July as we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday.
