It's exciting to see this kind of meaningful research happening locally 👏
In partnership with UNF Brooks College of Health and the City of Jacksonville, Florida - Government, this research takes a closer look at how programs like Healthlink JAX are expanding access to care for uninsured residents.
A big thank you to the UNF MedNexus Research Innovation Fund for supporting this work and making it possible to continue exploring solutions that truly impact our community.
This is about real impact! Reducing avoidable ER visits, improving access, and making sure people get connected to the care and resources they need.
Even better, students are getting hands-on experience along the way. They are helping shape the future of healthcare while making a difference right now.
What if access to care was available anytime, regardless of insurance?
A University of North Florida Health Administration research team has received MedNexus funding to study Healthlink JAX, a free, 24/7 virtual care program for uninsured residents in Duval County.
Led by Dr. Jasper Xu, Dr. Hanadi Hamadi, and Dr. Sinyoung Park, the project will explore how virtual care can reduce ER visits and improve access for vulnerable populations.
In partnership with Telescope Health, this work also gives UNF students hands-on experience while making a real difference in our community.
