Testimony Tuesday 🕊️⛓️💥❤️
From the outside, Abby’s life looked successful. She graduated at the top of her class, became a pediatric oncology nurse, and was building the life she had always dreamed of. But behind the success, alcohol slowly took control.
After the tragic loss of her mother to su***de, Abby threw away five years of sobriety and spent the next decade trapped in addiction. She lost custody of her son, received three DUIs, lost her nursing license, and became addicted to nitrous oxide. Doctors told her the nerve damage from her addiction was so severe that she shouldn’t have even been walking.
After seven secular rehab programs, Abby realized something was still missing. She didn’t just need sobriety. She needed Jesus.
In October 2025, Abby made the life-changing decision to enter Teen Challenge. She sold her home, put her belongings in storage, found a home for her dog, and surrendered everything to follow the path God had set before her.
Since then, God has done what only He can do. Abby has developed a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ, found freedom from addiction, and experienced the restoration she never thought possible. The son who once blocked her number now visits her every Family Day, has introduced her to his girlfriend, and tells her how proud he is to call her his mom.
Today, Abby no longer lives for perfection. She strives for excellence as she follows Christ and serves others. Her story is a powerful reminder that no one is too far gone for God’s grace and that true freedom is found in a transformed heart.
We are so thankful for what God is continuing to do in Abby’s life. To Him be all the glory!
