While I love food sensitivity testing, it alone does not tell you why certain foods are suddenly bothering you. 🔍
Removing reactive foods may reduce symptoms for a time. But it does not automatically address the factors that may be making digestion more difficult in the first place.
During perimenopause, changing hormones can influence digestion, bowel motility, the gut microbiome, and intestinal barrier function. But hormones are only one part of the picture.
Stress, poor digestion, low stomach acid, disrupted gut bacteria, infections, medications, nutrient deficiencies, and blood sugar instability may also affect how well you tolerate food.
That is why I do not look at a food test as the final answer. It is one piece of information that must be interpreted alongside symptoms, history, digestion, and the rest of the clinical picture.
Removing foods without addressing the larger pattern can feel like mopping the floor while the pipe is still leaking.
The Root Cause Sequence™ looks beyond the food itself to understand what may be placing pressure on digestion, absorption, immune signaling, and hormone metabolism.
Because the goal is not to keep making the food list smaller.
The goal is to understand why your body became less resilient in the first place. 🌿
