πŸ‘Ά September is Baby Safety Month!

For babies and toddlers, the whole world is a place to explore β€” which means safety starts long before they’re on the move. Cabinet locks, outlet covers, safety gates, secured furniture and keeping small or dangerous items out of reach can help make home a safer place for little explorers.

At UF CARES, we care for children and families through every stage of life. This month, we’re sharing simple reminders that can help keep our youngest patients safe, healthy and thriving. πŸ’™

Zero Stigma Day – July 21

On July 21, UF CARES recognizes Zero Stigma Day, a reminder that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Stigma can prevent individuals from seeking healthcare, support, and the services they need. Together, we can help create a community where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to live healthy lives.

Let's work together to replace stigma with understanding, kindness, and support.

Healthy Eating This Summer

This summer, try to:
πŸ“ Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
πŸ’§ Stay hydrated by drinking water throughout the day.
πŸ— Include lean proteins and whole grains in your meals.
πŸ₯— Practice safe food handling to reduce the risk of foodborne illness.
