Pivot to Ponder On: Accountability is a Form of Womanhood ♀️
We're rounding out Women’s History Month, and while we celebrate the strength, resilience, and brilliance of women, I’ve been thinking about another part of womanhood that doesn’t always get highlighted. Accountability.
Not in a harsh or condemning way. But in a real, honest, sit with yourself kind of way. Truth is, being a woman is not just about how we show up for everybody else. It’s also about how we show up for ourselves.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about what it means to really sit in the director’s chair of my own life and ask: Where did I overextend myself, ignore my own boundaries, and where can I grow? Because growth will always call you inward.
Accountability is an invitation to become who you’re meant to be. It’s choosing to say, let me take a look at my patterns, be honest about what I allowed, and get curious about what this is teaching me.
That’s the Pivot!
The quiet and reflective work that happens on somebody's therapy couch, and in the still moments, and honest conversations with ourselves.
So maybe this is your moment to call cut! 🎬Pause the scene, take a step back, and review what you’ve been carrying.
This Women’s History Month, I’m choosing to honor womanhood in a deeper way. Not just by celebrating how far we’ve come, but by committing to who we are becoming.
Taking inventory without judgment. Owning patterns without shame. Choosing growth, even when it’s uncomfortable.
That is womanhood.
