Screen time and social media are part of everyday life for most families. The goal isn't to eliminate them completely—it's to help children and teens learn how to use them in healthy ways.

Focus on progress, not perfection. Staying connected with your child matters more than having all the right answers.

What boundaries or habits have worked well in your home when it comes to screens and social media?

We'd love to hear what has helped your family 💚

June is PTSD awareness month. The month long observance is dedicated to raising public consciousness about the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and highlighting the treatments and resources available.

Here are some PTSD facts:
- About 6 out of 100 Americans will have PTSD at some point in their lives.
- PTSD can affect anyone who has experienced a traumatic event, like a serious accident, natural disaster, personal violence, or combat.
- PTSD is treatable. There are several effective treatments available, including talk therapy and medications. Seeking help is an important first step towards recovery.
- Support from friends and family can make a big difference in someone’s recovery from PTSD. Learning to understand PTSD and its symptoms can help.
- Alongside therapy and medication, practices like mindfulness, exercise, and getting enough sleep can help manage symptoms of PTSD and stress reactions.

If you or a loved one has experienced a traumatic event, please know you are not alone. We are ready to help you on your road to recovery.

☀️ School’s out, summer is here — and routines are changing for everyone.
For many kids and teens, summer can bring excitement, but it can also bring:
• Changes in sleep schedules
• More screen time
• Less structure and routine
• Increased anxiety, mood changes, or emotional overwhelm

Parents — this is a good time to check in on your child’s mental health just like you would their physical health. Small conversations can make a big difference. 💚

Summer should be a season of growth, rest, and connection. If your child or teen is struggling, support is available.

Contact our office to schedule an appointment or learn more about how we can help your family this summer. 🌴

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice — and the sacrifices made by their families — will never be forgotten.

At Gracefully Anchored Psychiatry, we are especially grateful for the military members, veterans, and families in our community who carry the weight of service every day. Today, we hold space for remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.

If this day brings up grief, loss, or difficult emotions, know that you do not have to carry them alone.

Wishing our community a meaningful and peaceful Memorial Day 🇺🇸

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a reminder that emotional wellbeing is just as important as physical health.

Everyone deserve safe spaces to be heard, supported, and understood. If you know someone who needs support, encourage them to talk to someone. Early support can change lives.
