Numbness and tingling in your hands isn’t necessarily about your hands.

The nerve roots that eventually become the nerves of the arm and hand travel between the anterior and middle scalene muscles in the neck. When tissue in this area develops adhesion or restriction, the nerves may not glide the way they’re supposed to.

The result can be tingling, numbness, burning, and weakness.

Here we’re doing several passes at the scalenes to free up nerve roots in the neck.

Studying will make you REALLY good at palpation.

Your armpit might be causing your shoulder and neck pain, especially if you feel blocked when lifting your arms over your head.

The subscapularis sits deep on the front of the shoulder blade and plays a huge role in stability and control of the shoulder.

It also lives right next to a high concentration of nerves in the armpit, so when it gets restricted, it can create symptoms that travel beyond just the shoulder.

This client with a labrum tear had quite a bit of adhesion at the subscap after dealing with years of instability due to the tear. Removing these adhesions increased shoulder abduction range of motion by 1” after one session.

Some people don’t know that I fly to NJ 6 times a year just to train.

isn’t something you learn once and have down - it’s something you continuously refine.

and I are observing and practicing the set up and treatment pass for plantar adhesion.

In every training, I’m sharpening my palpation, improving setup, dialing in depth, vector, and tension, and learning how to be more precise so results are better and more consistent.

In my practice I’ve noticed that adhesion release can be especially impactful for women because of the unique physical stressors their bodies go through.

From surgeries like C-sections, laparoscopies, and hysterectomies, and cosmetic procedures, to hormonal changes, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery - these experiences can all lead to scar tissue and internal adhesions that affect how the body moves and feels.

They can contribute to pelvic pain, hip tightness, low back discomfort, core weakness, and even nervous system stress.

And a lot of the time, they get overlooked.
