A glimpse of this week’s presentation as we explored the fundamentals of sexual and reproductive health together -- learning our ESPCs 📚✏️ AKA the key considerations when choosing a birth control method – effectiveness, safety, personality, and cost.

This week our team had the privilege of speaking with the young people of Bella Abzug Leadership Institute Inc. summer program at Hunter College about sexual health, reproductive freedom, and how we at CHOICES support both.

It is incredibly important that young people of all backgrounds are equipped with accurate, evidence-based information so they can make informed decisions about their bodies, health, and futures. At CHOICES, we're proud to help create spaces where questions are welcomed, conversations are encouraged, and education empowers the next generation.

Women in Bermuda and beyond deserve access to comprehensive and compassionate reproductive healthcare. The items that emerged most clearly from our discussion with Women's Resource Centre Bermuda were the need for continued conversation, education, and strengthening systems of care in Bermuda.

We are so grateful to have facilitated this meaningful exchange of ideas and perspectives, and look forward to building upon them. The goal is to ensure that every woman in Bermuda has access to information, support, and healthcare options she needs to make the decisions that are right for her health, her family, and her future.

This past weekend marked the first official event between CHOICES™ Women’s Medical Center Inc. and the Women’s Resource Centre, Bermuda.

We had the privilege of convening key leaders and advocates in the women’s reproductive healthcare space, discussing the current landscape of abortion access in Bermuda, barriers women face, and practical solutions while broader legislative and policy conversations continue.

To help offset the direct costs of abortion care for women in need, CHOICES also awarded the WRC a $20,000 grant. The funding reflects our shared commitment to ensuring that women and girls can access essential reproductive health services with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Thank you to everyone who shared their ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Conversations like these are essential to creating a future where women can access safe, compassionate, fact-based care no matter where they are – and it does not end here!

We have agreed to establish a partnership to strengthen pathways to care for women in Bermuda who may require services not currently available locally. Link in bio for the press release!
