Needless to say, Hubert and Nanny are settling into Ross Mill Farm life just fine. 🐷🐔

Our very first rescue chicken has been making friends wherever she goes, and the pigs are more than happy to line up for her signature pecking spa treatments.🥲

Rescue has a way of bringing the right souls together at the right time 💞
On a Sunday morning, Susan received a call about a young piglet whose family lovingly recognized that they weren’t the right fit. Rather than waiting until he was older, they made the compassionate decision to rehome him while he was still young and highly adoptable.
Susan took the piglet, Tweed Higgens, home to care and quarantine him, and couldn’t shake the feeling that this wasn’t a coincidence, after hearing from long-time Pig Placement Network and Ross Mill Farm supporter and friend, Kathy Ruttenberg, whose beloved piggy Francis passed away. Both Kathy and her other pig Tiggy were grieving. Kathy had shared that she’d be open to welcoming another pig someday, but only if it’s the right match for Tiggy.
Sometimes the stars align. ✨ Susan felt that a playful young piglet might be exactly what Tiggy needed, giving her a new friend to nurture while helping everyone begin to heal.
One phone call on Monday, one visit on Wednesday, and Tweed was headed home with Kathy, and we couldn’t have imagined a better match!
Thank you, Kathy, for opening your heart once again, for giving Tweed a loving home, and for your many years of supporting Pig Placement Network’s mission. We can’t wait to watch this new chapter unfold. 🐷💕 Sometimes rescue isn’t just about giving one pig a second chance, it’s about healing hearts on both ends of the journey!

We’re overjoyed to share that piggy Lizzy Aldie has found her forever home! Watching these rescue pigs begin their next chapter is what it’s all about, and we couldn’t be happier for her!
Now it’s her siblings’ turn. 💚 Billy Bob and Everly are the last two pigs from the Aldie litter still waiting for families of their own. Rescued as piglets from neglect and a fate of being fed to a snake, these two have grown into happy, affectionate toddlers who love people and snuggles!
They’ve come so far, and now all they need is a place to call home.

Looking for a simple, natural way to help your senior pig feel more comfortable? 💛🐷
Susan shares her go-to Golden Paste recipe - a budget-friendly blend of turmeric, water, oil, and black pepper that supports turmeric absorption. Freeze it into cubes, serve it with your pig’s dinner, and they should eat it right up!
It’s one of the many little things that can help support aging pigs and keep them feeling their best! 🐽✨

As always, every pig is different, so be sure to consult with your veterinarian about what’s best for your pig’s individual needs!
