There's still time to help local students get ready for the new school year!

SSM Health is collecting new socks and underwear for Janesville's Back-2-School Bash, taking place on August 15 at Traxler Park.

These essential items help ensure local children return to the classroom feeling comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

Donations of new socks and underwear in child and young adult sizes can be dropped off with the hospital's valet team or at the welcome desk near the main entrance through August 13.

Literacy is a vital part of life, and our Free Little Library in the Pediatrics waiting room at SSM Health Dean Medical Group – Janesville East helps children discover the joy of reading.

Our shelves are ready for a refresh! We invite community members to donate new or gently used children's and young adult books when they stop by for appointments.

Donations can be dropped off in the Pediatrics Department or at the first-floor registration desks. Together, we can inspire a lifelong love of reading, one book at a time.

Help local kids start the school year strong!

SSM Health is partnering with Janesville’s Back-2-School Bash to host a special collection drive for socks and underwear to help area children.

"These essential items can be difficult for families on a limited budget to purchase during back-to-school shopping," said Randy Booth, chaplain at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Janesville. "We want to do what we can to help ensure local youth feel comfortable, confident, and prepared for the school year."

New socks and underwear in child and young adult sizes can be dropped off with the hospital’s valet services team or at the front entrance welcome desk through August 13.

Families are encouraged to pre-register for the Back-2-School Bash (August 15) by visiting https://jwc.chmeetings.com/forms/61D56C449F52DEF7. Thank you for helping our community's children head back to school with confidence!
