Creating Connections Across Programs 💙

As part of ISP's month-long celebration of America's 250th anniversary, Day Services clients joined in the fun by decorating patriotic placemats together.

Group activities like these encourage conversation, friendship, and connections between clients from different programs. Bringing individuals together helps build relationships, strengthen social skills, and create a greater sense of community throughout KANDU.

Yesterday marked the first day of summer, which is one of our favorite seasons at KANDU Industries!

As the weather warms up, you'll often find clients enjoying activities in our outdoor pavilion, taking walks, and exploring the community through some of our favorite seasonal outings. From visits to local farms and the zoo, to trips for ice cream and splash pad adventures, summer provides plenty of opportunities to get outside, stay active, and create meaningful memories together.

Bingo, karaoke, crafts, and community outings are some of the activities our clients look forward to most! A Sweet Way to Celebrate! ❤️💙

Clients in the Increased Support Program continued their Fourth of July celebration with a classic American treat: pie and ice cream! While enjoying their dessert, clients also watched a video about how pies are made, turning the afternoon into both a fun and educational experience.

These activities are designed to help individuals explore holiday traditions, learn more about the history and culture behind celebrations, and enjoy experiences outside of their everyday routine. Combining learning with hands-on experiences and special treats helps create meaningful moments that are both engaging and memorable.

From patriotic crafts to pie and ice cream, we've enjoyed helping our clients get into the Fourth of July spirit while learning a little more about the traditions that make the holiday special!
