Break the Silence joined the Jasper County Sheriff's Office's National Night Out community event last week with our Fishing for Choices activity. Every catch was a real question about risks, consequences and healthier choices around opioid use in a judgement-free, no pressure, safe environment.

Nights like this are what community actually looks like with neighbors, first responders, and families learning side by side, so no one has to face this alone.

There is no single type of person affected by opioids or fentanyl.

Risks include:
* People using prescribed medication
* People returning to use after time away
* People who don't know what's really in what they're using

This can affect any age, background, family or friend. Understanding that is how we reduce stigma.
