Salience NeuroRehab, LLC

Salience NeuroRehab, LLC Salience NeuroRehab is a mobile & outpatient therapy service specializing in neurological conditions. 🧠 I am certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment.

NDT is:
• An advanced "hands-on" therapeutic approach that helps guide the individual to more efficient functional abilities. It utilizes principles of motor development, motor control, motor learning, and other supporting scientific principles to improve basic body functions.
• Engaging and motivating. Our goal is client motivation through intervention that includes "hands-on" physical guidance s

trategies, verbal cues, and feedback, gradually adjusting over time according to client’s needs and emerging skills.
• With the client and family at the center, the therapist uses a proven, industry-standard model to assess activity and participation in daily routines. Then, building on the client’s functional strengths, the NDT therapist identifies movement problems and, along with the family and client, sets achievable goals to improve function.

After someone has a stroke or another neurological condition and has Aphasia-Aphasia is a disorder that affects how you communicate. It can impact your speech, as well as the way you write and understand both spoken and written language. The most important tool for someone with Aphasia is having patience and let your loved one communicate.

Want to help someone with aphasia feel understood? đź’™

Here are simple ways to talk with them:

âś… Get their attention first.
âś… Keep eye contact.
âś… Slow down. Use shorter sentences.
âś… Give them time to speak.
âś… Try drawing or gestures too.

Small changes. Big difference. đź§

We wanted to share this because of our awesome community we live in. With Salience being owned and operated by a local individual and our therapists living in this community; we get to see the goodness in so many individuals. These are individuals we encounter everyday whether it be our patients, healthcare providers we work with, and just awesome neighbors in our shopping center.

We have had several individuals ask about the device that our amazing patient Jan is wearing the video from last week. It is called the Pulse Device. It uses various vibration frequencies for some many different conditions- such as neuro feedback for our neuro patients who have difficulty with either sensation, decreased awareness of a certain arm or leg, decreasing tremors, and increasing neuroplasticity to the brain (which means the brain is learning). It also helps with strength training, decreasing pain, improving sleep, decreasing soreness after workouts, and so much more. It also helps sends signals to the parasympathetic nervous system to help with anxiety and attention. It is a great device that we use in our clinic. It is not an electrical stimulation device and uses vibration frequencies/hertz to respond to the nerves/muscles/brain. If anyone is interested in learning more about this device please contact us. If anyone is interested in purchasing this awesome device- click on our link to get a discount. Use coupon code: SALIENCE

Learning is very important at Salience NeuroRehab. It helps our therapists keep up with the latest therapy treatments, equipment, and resources. We schedule lunch and learn seminars in our clinic once a month to collaborate and learn from each other and stay on top of our skills. Our therapists are also attending seminars, conferences, and perform online trainings to continue learning. Did you know that our occupational therapist practitioners are certified in vestibular rehabilitation? Did you also know that all of our therapists have several certifications in various areas of neuro rehab? That’s why we love being voted the best neuro rehab clinic in Dubois County because we continue to learn for our patients and our community in general.
