JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Housekeeper
Department / Program: Jasper

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for custodian duties. Performs routine manual work to clean and care for building. Work involves proper use of material in cleaning. Worker follows a well established routine, instructions for non-routine tasks are specific and may be written or oral.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED (ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES)
-Sweep and mop all hard surface floors in buildings
-Vacuum all carpeted surfaces
-Keep bathrooms clean and stocked with towels, tissue and soap
-Empty all trash cans
-Clean front door and windows
-Clean exam rooms and keep stocked with towels
-Wipe chairs in all waiting rooms with disinfectants
-Sweep sidewalks and pick up any trash
-Cleans satellite clinic once a week or as needed
-Clean conference room and set up for monthly board meeting
-Makes request to accounting for any supplies that need ordering
-May transport equipment and supplies to and from satellite clinic sites
-Other janitorial tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Six months experience in custodial, manual or related physical work
-Ability to understand oral and written instructions; to learn to adjust and operate electric powered cleaning equipment
-Valid drivers license
Physical Condition
-Good physical condition sufficient to permit the full performance of the duties of the position. Work may require carrying/lifting moderate (25-50 lb.) loads, walking, frequent bending, kneeling, and occasional climbing.
