Did you know ADHD isn't simply about "not paying attention"?

ADHD affects the brain's executive functionsโ€”the skills that help children focus, regulate emotions, manage impulses, and switch between tasks. Every child with ADHD can experience it differently.

While there's no single solution for ADHD, supporting the whole child can make a meaningful difference.

๐ŸŒฟ Functional nutrition focuses on identifying nutritional gaps, supporting balanced blood sugar, optimizing gut health, and ensuring the body has the nutrients it needs for healthy brain function.

๐Ÿ‘ Chiropractic care supports healthy nervous system function. By helping reduce physical stress on the body and promoting optimal communication between the brain and body, many families include chiropractic as part of their child's overall wellness routine.

The best approach is often a team approach - working alongside your child's pediatrician, therapists, teachers, and other healthcare providers to help them thrive.

๐Ÿ’™ Every child deserves support that helps them reach their full potential.

๐Ÿ‘ถโœจ FUN FACT FRIDAY โœจ๐Ÿ‘ถ

Did you know pediatric chiropractic adjustments look very different from adult adjustments?

In fact, the amount of pressure used on an infant is often compared to the pressure you'd use to check the ripeness of a tomato. ๐Ÿ…

Birth, learning to hold up the head, rolling, crawling, walking, tumbles, and sports can all place stress on a child's developing spine and nervous system.

Parents often seek pediatric chiropractic care to support:
๐Ÿ’ค Sleep
๐Ÿผ Feeding and latching challenges
๐Ÿ‘‚ Ear health
๐Ÿคธ Posture and movement
๐Ÿง  Nervous system regulation
๐ŸŒฑ Overall growth and development

The goal isn't just to address symptoms-it's to support healthy nervous system function so kids can thrive as they grow.

Have you ever wondered what a pediatric adjustment looks like? Let us know below! โฌ‡๏ธ

๐Ÿšจ Not Every Tongue Tie Needs to Be Released Immediately ๐Ÿšจ

One of the biggest misconceptions about tethered oral tissues (tongue ties, lip ties, and buccal ties) is that a release is always the first stepโ€”or that a release will magically solve every problem.

The truth? Function matters more than structure.

A child can have a visible tie and function beautifully. On the other hand, a child may struggle with feeding, speech, sleep, airway development, or oral function even when the tie appears mild.

Before considering a release, it's important to look at the whole child:
โœจ How is their body moving?
โœจ Are there areas of tension or compensation?
โœจ How are feeding skills developing?
โœจ What does oral function look like?

Many children benefit from a team approach that may include:
โœ”๏ธ Feeding Therapy
โœ”๏ธ Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
โœ”๏ธ Chiropractic Care
โœ”๏ธ Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
โœ”๏ธ Physical or Occupational Therapy
โœ”๏ธ Lactation Support (for infants)

Bodywork before and after a release can help improve mobility, reduce compensations, and support better outcomes. In some cases, therapy and bodywork alone may significantly improve function without the need for an immediate procedure.

A release is a toolโ€”not a cure.

The goal isn't simply to release tissue. The goal is to improve function, comfort, and quality of life through thoughtful assessment and individualized care.
