I haven’t been posting lately but I just wanted to give everyone a recap of what we have been up to this week!

Monday we had MENS club ! Guys can color to and while we colored we talked about some manly things lol it was nice to be apart of and to watch them be so creative & We can’t forget about manicure Monday the lady’s loved the outcome and keep showing off their lovely nails!

Tuesday we had a time ! We played noodle ball and it was both an exercise and a joy as most of us participated and just a few watched with smiles on their faces!

What a fun trip we had today to the Jefferson City Museum of Modern Art! 🖼️

A big thank you to JCMOMA for hosting us, and sharing stories of the art and artists who made them! It was very interesting to us to learn about the symbolism and interpretation of abstract art! 🎨

Yesterday, we had Janice’s delicious Wow Meal! 🤩

For her meal, she chose creamy chicken fettuccine Alfredo, stuffed Parmesan mushrooms, fresh garlic bread, ice cold Diet Coke, and New York style cheesecake!

It felt like our own Olive Garden experience, creating a family dinner experience! We even listened to Jan and Gary’s song “My Girl”! ❤️

Thank you to Jan and Gary for picking a wonderful meal, it was enjoyed by all!

Today, Westbrook Terrance hosted an indoor campfire and s’mores event. Due to high outdoor temperatures, we brought the experience inside. We displayed a virtual campfire on the big screen, played ambient nature sounds, and dimmed the lights. Residents enjoyed singing camp songs and eating torched s’mores. The event was a wonderful success, and we look forward to hosting it again!

A HUGE thank you to Keri, with Alternative Hospice of Western Missouri, for hosting another wonderful activity!

She set up for our ladies to have spa time makeovers! 💄
This started with a rejuvenating face mask and moisturizer, followed by individualized makeup looks!
We then gave the ladies the option to have a personal “photoshoot” post-makeover!📸

This was such a wonderful way to get our ladies feeling as beautiful as they are! ❤️

Creating an environment of being seen and heard is so vital for our dementia friends ♥️. Making our daily thanks into special moments is something that our Life Enrichment Coordinators do soooo well!! Creating special Prayer Jars so our friends can share their personal requests to be lifted. Thank you ladies! You are all Americare Angels sharing your energy and love 💕

We had a blast having a day full of Christmas in July fun!
We spent our morning hanging stockings with care, and turning our home into a summer & winter mix! (While listening to carols of course!!)
A big thank you to one of our family members, Randy, for providing a summertime lunch with delicious holiday desserts!
After lunch, we indulged in some tasty hot cocoa and made gingerbread houses!
We also had special visitors, Santa Claus & The Grinch! They delivered some gifts, smiles, and laughs!

Such a fun day, with wonderful friends and family! 🎄☀️😎

Always posting later then I attend to anywho,
Good morning everyone yesterday we had a really great event. We had the Bittersweet Garden Club come to Westbrook Terrace and they brought butterfly & dragonfly mask! We spent time coloring and chatting with one another then after that we snacked on some treats they brought. What was unique about these snacks was that they were treats that looked like bugs 🐛 haha it was AMAZING and by far one the best events we had!!

Today we had a pajama party !
we started with our usual activities daily devotional and exercise after lunch we ended our day with bingo and snacks. We were planning on having mocktails but didn’t get the chance to make them..We are going to save that for Manicure Monday! Today was an exciting day and we cannot wait to have another creative day like this one !
