Throughout the month of October, we encourage you to Think Pink as some of our team members share why they choose to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"I wear pink because I want to celebrate all the lives that mammography has saved. I mourn all the lives breast cancer has taken. I am amazed at how far imaging of the breast has come in 41 years. We know your time is valuable, and we want to make sure you get through to us quickly. We’ve updated our phone system at Ashe Memorial Hospital Central Scheduling to make scheduling your appointments smoother than ever. Our number is 336-846-0820.
Now, when you call our central scheduling line, you can book both your Imaging and Rehabilitation appointments in one place.

Next time you call, you’ll notice our new, simplified menu:
• Press 2 for Imaging (X-rays, scans, etc.)
• Press 3 for Rehab Services (Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy and Cardiac Rehabilitation)
What this means for you: Our new system automatically cycles through all of our available schedulers. That means fewer missed calls, less time waiting on hold, and faster service from the faces you know and trust.

We’re always looking for ways to serve our community better. Give us a call next time you need to set up an appointment—we’re ready to help!

We are in the process of completing an asphalt pavement improvement project. The main hospital parking lot (Front) and Driveway from Hospital Avenue is scheduled to be closed tomorrow, October 3, for maintenance.

⭐️Please note: the emergency department will remain open and any visitors visiting patients in the hospital should enter the emergency department entrance around the rear of the hospital. Mountain Hearts also will be open. Visitors should exit the way they came in when leaving the facility. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and have a safe weekend!

Thank you to the Material Girls at Greenfield Campground for their generous donation to our Ashe Oncology and Hematology and pediatric patients. We enjoyed reconnecting with our friends over lunch yesterday before they head home for the cooler months. Every year, the Material Girls dedicate their time and talents to their mission of providing blankets, pillows, hats and teddy bears for our patients. We’re grateful for their continued support and generosity. We hope you have a safe trip home, and we look forward to seeing you again next year! 🧵❤️

AMH Police Chief Rick Swain teamed up with local law enforcement agencies for Rooftop Cops today at Bojangles. The annual fundraiser is designed to raise awareness for pediatric cancer with the proceeds from the event supporting local families facing the challenges of the disease. Rooftop Cops runs until 7 p.m., so there’s still time to show your support! 💛
