Earlier this week, our Sparta PTs Cody, Savannah, and Wes joined in on Senior Safety Day at the Alleghany Council On Aging! 💫

Cody shared practical tips on balance, fall prevention, and how physical therapy can help us stay safe and independent as we age.🚶

It was a packed room with lots of familiar faces! We loved being there alongside the Alleghany, North Carolina Sheriff's Office, local fire departments and EMS, Alleghany County Cooperative Extension, Skyline National Bank, Halsey DRUG, AppHealthCare, and many more!

Here’s a little look at vestibular rehab at Schuster PT!

Gavin, one of our PTs in Hickory, is using a head-mounted laser that gives a visual reference for where the head is pointing and moving. 🎯 It can be used to work on things like head movement, visual targeting, coordination, and balance.

If dizziness, vertigo, or feeling unsteady is throwing you off, vestibular PT may be able to help get you back on steady ground! 💫

Vestibular rehab is available at all four Schuster PT locations: Boone, Hickory, Jefferson, and Sparta.

Meet Dr. Savannah, PT, DPT! ✨

Before Savannah was treating patients at our Sparta clinic, she was learning alongside us as a PT student! After graduating, she came back to officially join the team as a PT — and recently celebrated two years with us! 🎉

A little more about Savannah:
📍 Originally from Yadkinville, NC
🏔️ Western Carolina + Elon grad
⚖️ Enjoys working with balance & fall prevention
🎭 Loves a good musical
