Always learning. Always improving.

Thank you to for sponsoring tonight’s cadaver lab focused on sinus balloon technology. Dr. Abbas and Dr. Ingram enjoyed hands-on training with these innovative tools as they continue to expand their expertise and bring advanced treatment options to our patients.

We appreciate opportunities like these that support physician education and excellence in patient care.

FAQ Friday 💙

If pain has been slowing you down, you're not alone. This week, we're answering some of the most common questions we hear about pain management procedures!

💉 What types of pain management procedures are performed at your center?

We perform a variety of interventional pain management procedures, including epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, sacroiliac joint injections, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, joint injections, and other minimally invasive treatments designed to help manage pain and improve quality of life.

😴 Will I be put to sleep for a pain procedure?

Most pain management procedures are performed using local anesthesia and/or light IV sedation. General anesthesia is typically not required.

Your physician and anesthesia team will determine the safest and most appropriate option based on your procedure and individual needs.

⏱️ How long do pain management procedures take?

Most procedures take between 15 and 45 minutes. However, your total time at the surgery center may be a few hours to allow for check-in, preparation, recovery, and discharge instructions.

Think of it like air travel—the actual flight may be short, but there's still some time needed before takeoff and after landing! ✈️

🚗 Will I need someone to drive me home?

If you receive sedation, yes—you will need a responsible adult to drive you home and stay with you after your procedure as instructed by your care team.

Please note that rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft, as well as taxis, do not qualify as a responsible adult es**rt and cannot be used as your sole means of transportation after receiving sedation.

If sedation is not used, you may be able to drive yourself home. Your care team will review your specific instructions before your procedure day.

As much as we appreciate their service, your Uber driver unfortunately cannot moonlight as your post-procedure support person. 😉

Have questions about an upcoming procedure? Our team is always happy to help. Happy FAQ Friday
