Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there 💕

The moms waking everyone up, making breakfast, packing bags, getting kids to school, showing up to work, making practices, games, recitals, appointments… and somehow still keeping the whole house running.

Mamas are seriously superheroes in regular clothes.

You carry so much that most people never even see.
The mental load.
The worry.
The planning.
The loving.
The showing up… over and over again.

And somehow, you still keep the world turning. 🌎

Recently, I had the opportunity to receive somatic massage sessions from two therapists who completed the somatic massage training. It was such a powerful reminder of the impact this work can have.

Each therapist brought their own unique style to the session. One was able to provide significant relief in my hips, an area that has bothered me for quite some time. The other guided me into such a deep state of relaxation that I drifted off to sleep twice—something I had never experienced before during a massage.

These experiences reaffirm why I am so passionate about both offering and teaching somatic massage. When therapists learn this approach, it creates a ripple effect of healing—allowing them to support their clients while also receiving the care they need themselves.

❌ 5-minute “guess where it hurts” massages
❌ No talking allowed (for you… not me 😂)
❌ Extra charge if you breathe too loud

But what if that’s not actually the problem?

Because I see it all the time—
people who do all the things
and still feel stuck.

Tension that won’t let go.
Pain that keeps coming back.
A body that feels constantly on edge.

That’s not just muscle.

That’s your nervous system not feeling safe enough to relax.

As a busy mom, a lot of times we don’t eat the best foods.

Not because we don’t care…
But because there’s just no time.

You skip meals during the day.
Grab a few bites here and there.

And when you do eat…
Your stomach gets bloated, things go straight through you, or your digestion just feels off.

So by the time you finally get home and sit down…

You’re starving
and end up eating everything in the house.

It’s not lack of discipline.
It’s a nervous system and stress problem.

When your body is constantly in go-mode, digestion takes a back seat.

And this is exactly why I focus so much on helping moms regulate their nervous system — because when the body feels safe again, things like digestion, energy, and cravings start balancing out too.
