Join the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ESRD Community of Practice Call Hosted by the KHARES Program on Thursday, September 24 from 3 to 3:45 pm ET. 🗓️

This session will review key updates and considerations for Hepatitis B, pneumococcal, and other recommended vaccinations. The call will also feature a facility manager who will share proven best practices for improving vaccination rates.

Speakers include Florence Casabuena, Center Manager at Satellite Healthcare Sacramento, and Dr. Ramin Sam, a clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco, and Medical Director of the dialysis unit at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and a Fresenius dialysis clinic in San Francisco.

Learn about the current state of employment among dialysis patients and how the interdisciplinary team can help improve patients’ ability to obtain and maintain employment.

During this session Beth Witten, MSW, ACSW, LSCSW will give an overview of the vocational rehabilitation process, describe the SSA Ticket to Work Program, and share some employment resources. We will also hear from a patient who successfully completed a Vocational Rehabilitation program and is currently working.
